Zcash Address Inspector - Type, Validity & Receivers (Local)

runs 100% locallyno third-party requestsnot visit-counted

Paste the deposit address a casino or exchange gave you. Everything runs in your browser - the address is never transmitted, and this page is not counted in our anonymous stats. It reports the address type, whether the checksum is valid, and - for unified addresses - exactly which receivers are inside.

Nothing leaves this page - not even a visit count.

The Zcash address types, and what each one reveals

  • t1 / t3 (transparent) - Bitcoin-style. Amount, sender and receiver are public on-chain. The easiest to use and the least private.
  • zs1 (Sapling shielded) - the older shielded pool. Amounts and parties are hidden.
  • u1 (unified) - one address that can carry several receivers (transparent, Sapling, Orchard). This tool shows which are inside; a transparent receiver means a sender may put your deposit on the public chain.
  • tex1 (TEX, ZIP-320) - a transparent address that accepts funds only from transparent sources. Handy when an exchange refuses shielded deposits, but it is fully public.

Why inspect instead of just sending

The most common Zcash deposit mistake is a receiver-type mismatch: sending shielded ZEC to a cashier that only scans transparent addresses, or a wallet that cannot see the pool the operator's address points at. This tool tells you what the address actually is before you commit funds. It does not tell you whether the operator is honest - for that read the review and the shielded vs transparent guide.
